    Planning Notes

Book Trains Early Rail Europe, ÖBB.at (Austria), and CD.cz (Czech) offer advance fares that are significantly cheaper. The Railjet and EC trains are comfortable and scenic.
Budget by City Budapest is the most affordable of the three — meals and activities cost roughly half of Vienna. Prague sits pleasantly in between.
Book in Advance Hungarian Parliament tours, Schönbrunn Palace, and Belvedere all sell out in peak season. Restaurant reservations — especially Aranybástya and SIXTA — are essential.
All Three Are Walkable You won’t need taxis much. Comfortable shoes are your best travel companion. Prague especially rewards wandering — you’ll discover things no itinerary includes.
