The hillsides, the unhurried meals, the wines poured by people who have tended the same vines for generations. The celebration was wonderful. But it was the hours in between, moving slowly through one of the world’s most quietly extraordinary places. It turned a guest into a planner who truly understood what a destination experience could feel like from the other side.
